Liquid Magic
Watery fun for Years 3, 4, 5 and 6
This fun practical workshop looks at the role that water plays in our world, how we use it and some of its properties.
The workshop is designed for 30 children but can accommodate up to 45 in one session. Sessions last for around 2.5 hours.
WARNING! This workshop can be very wet... we suggest that you provide protection for clothes and furniture where necessary.
During the workshop you can expect some of the following:
- Identification of how we use water and where it comes from.
- An activity which explores the water cycle.
- Investigating how we clean water.
- Exploring some of the properties of water by performing some magic!
Record sheets are provided for the students to record their experiences and a certificate will be given to each participant. Ideas for follow-on activities will be provided for teaching staff. |
