Flight Workshop
Forces in motions
This fun practical workshop is suitable for Key Stage Two pupils. It looks at the role of forces in flight through making and testing your own aeroplanes. Up to sixty children can take part in your school hall, with each session lasting around two hours.
During the session you can expect some of the following:
- Identification of some of the forces involved in flight through the use of diagrams and models.
- Making one or more model planes, whilst being made aware of the functions of some of the parts.
- Testing model planes to try to use forces to make them fly in different directions.
- A fly-off! Whose plane is the best performer?
- Record sheets are provided for the students to record their experiences and a certificate will be given to each participant.
