Colour and Light
A hands-on workshop for 5 - 8 year olds
Investigating the science of colour and light, this practical workshop compliments the National Curriculum Science Unit 1D "Light and Dark" unit by bringing hands on experiments into your classroom.
The workshop runs for about 2 hours and can cater for up to 30 children.
During the session you can some of expect the following:
- Recognising that we see with our eyes
- Thinking about different light sources
- Investigating reflective surfaces and reflections
- Creating and investigating shadows
- Investigating colour Making a colour spinner to take home
A certificate will be given to each participant. Information about follow-on activities is provided for teaching staff. |
